The Rev. John S. Rogers is chaplain emeritus of St. George’s School, Newport, R.I. He served the school as chaplain from 1976 to 1999, and was also chair of the Theology Department and varsity basketball and baseball coach. He was inducted in the SG Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
John previously served as rector of St. Alban’s Church, Cape Elizabeth, Me. From 2000 until the present, he completed five interim parish positions, most recently at Christ Church, St. Simon’s Island, Ga. A graduate of Middlebury College and ETS, he lived his early years in New Hampshire, where his dad, William N. Rogers, served four terms as a U.S. Congressman.
Presently, John and his wife, Judy, live in St. Mary’s, Ga., and summer in Maine.
