The Rev. Anne C. S. Thornberg

Annie was ordained into the priesthood in December 2010. A 2010 M.Div. recipient from General Theological Seminary, Annie formerly received a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at seminary, Annie served as the seminary’s representative to the 2009 General Convention, was a member of the Peace and Justice Coalition, a founding member of the New York Internship Program, and was a Blanchard Scholarship recipient while at UNC.

You may be surprised to learn that Annie was MVP of her high school’s golf team and traveled to Florence for a study-abroad program.

She loves to cook, travel, bike, and garden, and enjoys spending time on the water. Her husband, Jeff, is the associate rector of St. John’s Church in Portsmouth.
