Meet our Organist & Music Coordinator

Savannah Curro

Savannah is new to St. Andrew’s and she will not only play our hymns each Sunday but coordinate our weekly guest musicians.

A native New Englander, Savannah Curro grew up just outside of Boston in Arlington, MA, and is excited to return to the Northeast as the Music Coordinator at St. Andrew's by-the-Sea. Savannah attends Mercer University where she is pursuing dual degrees in organ performance and history. At Mercer, she studies organ with Dr. Jack Mitchener, the artist-in-residence and organist at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, GA. She previously studied organ with Ms. Cathy Meyer through the Boston Young Organists Initiative organ scholar program and studied piano with Ms. Elizabeth Ann Reed. Savannah is the co-organist at Forsyth Presbyterian Church (USA) in Forsyth, GA and has played for Episcopal, Methodist, and Congregationalist congregations throughout Middle Georgia and Greater Boston. As a recitalist, Savannah has played in programs at venues including the Trinity College Chapel and King's Chapel in Boston, MA. Savannah is an active member of the Episcopal Church, serving as the vice president of Mercer University's Episcopal-Lutheran Campus ministry, a former delegate to the Atlanta diocesan convention, and a participant in Macon, GA's Canterbury House internship program, an intentional religious living community for Episcopal college students. In her free time, Savannah enjoys hiking and backpacking.

Look for her each Sunday tucked away on the altar’s left side, behind the American flag.
